Found trilliums in the neighboring woods. Maybe not the nicest of days to explore but Kim and I did anyways! If it rained or was too windy, wanted to capture their beauty before they were gone for another year. No regrets!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures from today's journey... All photos can be printed on canvas, sustainable wood, rag paper or acrylic. DM to make it happen. Wet & windy but the blossoms are well worth it!!! Quick update on the indigenous garden... It's looking great minus some char from the fire. They plan to rebuild and have started a go fund me to help with the costs. Great to see everyone coming together to protect this special space. Weeks of cleaning the forest floor, today we were blessed with morels. Sustainably foraged of course. Tomorrow's menu, now features morels. Tree hugger? Yep, that's us! You know what they say... "Be like a tree. Stay grounded. Connect with your roots. Turn over a new leaf. Bend before you break. Enjoy your unique natural beauty. Keep growing." Joanne Raptis We end the adventure with a socially distant snail hang. Be well. Stay safe. We love you!

Everything comes back to life. Flowers, leaves and baby animals are all around us. Enjoy these great sayings that come from the beauty of spring.
Got to take the good with the bad... All I ask is that you PLEASE respect the space and leave no trace.
On the inside, the Hoya is flowering. It smells so beautiful in the evening, love the natural scent. Wish it was here all the time but it teaches me a valuable lesson... Appreciate, slow down and never take things for granted. On Kim's Birthday we went for a hike along the Thames River in London, Canada. This is one of her favourite trees. It may not be the prettiest... It shows her that you can have struggle for many years, showing no progress, but eventually with time and patience, you can work through anything and continue to grow!!! Thanks to Reforest London. Our mini-food forest is looking better each year!!! Couldn't do it without help so Thank YOU. Now, I would like to introduce you to my Buddies :) Cherry Tree A Pair of Pear Trees Golden Spice & Early Gold Empire Apple Tree Raspberry Elderberry Redhaven Peach Tree Thanks to a squirrel for planting a daffodil in the yard. The natural transplant adds a nice pop of spring colour. Also, this is last years Brussel Sprout plant. As an experiment I left it over Winter. Now it's growing again. Don't know what to expect but it's fun! This is a Primrose. They say the flowers and leaves are edible but haven't tried them as of yet. The flavour ranges between mild lettuce and bitter salad greens. They also say that leaves can be used for tea. Have you tried? This year it has has grown just like us all. Don't forget to get your hands and feet in the dirt. Grounding is the BEST!!! Be well, stay healthy & happy. If you need to reach out, please do. Love you and we'll see each other soon.
