Stoked for this weekend! Kim and I are heading to Toronto for Digital Dreams and we're def looking forward to seeing everyone on the dance floor, till our damn feet fall off. We haven't been to a big festival like this in far too long, so its time to do it BIG! Normally, I like to get a lil custom with such occasions and I would tend to shave things in my hair, like a maple leaf for Canada Day. However, since my hair is long and that is not an option at this time. Painting a new tank top for Kimmy sounded much better ;) Hope everyone has a great weekend and please remember to play safe. and most importantly... Keep Smiling because it looks good on You! Much Love SHIM

Super cute, seeing all the dachshunds congregated in such large numbers. The heat was a bit much and cut our visit short, but I still managed to capture a few great shots of some of these funny lil vertically challenged pupps.
A few snaps of our garden this morning :) Def in need of some solid sun, but at least I haven't had to water much. Everything is coming along great. We get a nice lil harvest of strawbs everyday, not as much as last year because we transplanted them into new beds... but next season, they'll be HUGE!!!!! :) Speaking of getting big, our heirloom tomato and pepper plants are pretty much ready for planting. So do get in touch if you are interested in some. They all come in plant-able containers for easy transition into your garden or a bigger pot.
Been seeing some cool photos online recently, where an editing technique is used to make the image look like a high detailed miniature model, called "Tilt-Shifting". Here is a few snaps from our vacation this past January that I've applied that style to. There is also a couple photos of an actual model and I'm curious to see how many can spot which ones they are. Enjoy :)
What a great day :) Kim and I had a blast hanging out in the middle of dundas street, getting creative and chatting with a lot new and old friends. Def look forward to following the many connections made. Didn't quite finish my painting... nor did I expect to, but I got a great start and will have it completed and pics posted soon. In the meantime, please enjoy some of the great shots that Kim took throughout the day. Keep Smiling :)
Last night, I spiced up the ol "trash" can for Car Free fest. Could have gotten a lil more detailed with it..... but, again..... it's my waste bucket ;) Def looking forward to a fun day painting in the middle of Dundas :) Hope to see you there.
Picked up my canvas and we're almost ready for a great time hanging out on Dundas this Saturday. Come out and play with everyone in this uplifting celebration.
This portrait was an amazing challenge. I do Love and sometimes hate every part of the creative process. However, my favourite and often most nerve racking moment is presenting the finished piece. After I Artistically reproduce an important memory, I can only hope it brings lots of smiles for many years. Every piece takes on a Life of its own, once its left the studio :) The weather wasn't most agreeable for our planned get together at the Lake, but I still managed to get some great shots in between the rain :) Plus we saw a frikkin dinosaur!!!!!!!!
