and now... time for the photographic conclusion to Amandrew's wedding!!!!!!
The evening celebrations were off the hook. So many laughs, plenty of sentimental tears and super tasty food was had by all. Even though the rain fell steady, that couldnt come close to touching the great vibes. There was an awesome photo booth!!!!!! Which, I'm surprised I never got any shots of its coolness. Guess we were too busy having a great time getting photos taken inside of it I suppose. Sparklers came out!!!!!!!!!! I was trying to get some cool light trail photos of drawing hearts, but it didn't quite work out for me. However, the official photographer, Marlon Hazlewood got some amazing shots using the same technique. So excited to see the series of great photos he captured throughout. At the end, it all wrapped up with everyone joining together in a harmonious circle around the newly weds to sing the final song by one of Kim and I's all time favourite Artist's, the great Bob Marley "One Love". A concept we all need to focus on and remember. P.L.U.R Shane

This past weekend, Kim and I had the pleasure of being present for the wedding of two amazing People and close Friends of ours, Amanda Johnston and Andrew Dick. It was my first time ever standing up as a groomsman too, very honoured to have had the oppourtunity.
Honestly, it was def one of the best weddings we've attended. The venue was at a beautiful mansion in Port Hope called Penryn Park. Kim and I had a blast walking around, checking out all the gorgeous old original architecture. Even did a bit of exploration and found a really creepy cool ladder leading to the attic, with another ladder we never knew about until looking at the photo..... it led to an even higher and most def more creepier attic location! Funny story!!!! Some p.o.s stole my totally monetarily worthless bike today. I did custom paint it though and my basic sole mode of transportation was loved lots.... so really its priceless I suppose. Stolen right off our front porch even!!! Guess you could say it's sort of my fault because I did not have it locked up? (most times I do). Just wouldn't expect people to stoop that low off the stoop! Especially messed up because I was just mentioning the increased stats of bike theft in this poor city these days. Now I'm part of the statistics. What pisses me off most about is that I just installed new solar power front and back lights too dammit! If by random chance anyone does happen to see some sketch bag riding my humble mode of transportation around London town. Wonderful Blessings would come your way to see its safe passage back home. Unfortunately, other than this photo of Kimmy appropriately showing off the blow dryer. I cant find a picture of my bike after I painted it.... not sure why cause I can find her's. Anyway, it's charcoal grey, with black metal accents and I painted TaToE in white w/ black accented graffiti. A Tree of Life is painted on the front and flowing back down the frame with the same style and colour scheme. Guess all I can pretty much do about whoever is that desperately lost in their Life, feeling the need to steal other peoples necessary possessions? Is hope they someday could be helped and rise above such bullshit. On a major positive give back though from this unfortunate hiccup.... Out of my reactionary mode of cruising about the immediate neighbourhood. I for some reason was thinking it would've just been leaning up somewhere obvious. I also informed some close neighbours of the thievery and gladly had the chance to reintroduce ourselves. After explaining to them what happened, Ian cracked a smile and offered me a spare bike that had been hanging around waiting for a home. It's even better than my stolen wheels!!! Best believe I will be custom painting it as well. On top of that.... he's a metal craftsman with great Artistic desire and huge potential for collaboration. Tons of inspiration for what may come. Life is always so full of possibilities when you allow an experience to just be and trust in positive thought. Things have quite the ways of working themselves out sometimes. I Win!!!!! Still....... this is not to say that I by any means accept this offense. I WANT MY BIKE BACK, YOU BASTERD!!! (not like the asshole would be reading this, but if you are? then...... fah-q!) From Deltron 3030, to Sunfest. It's been another great weekend stacked full with musical experience, celebrating Life with plenty of dance! Gotta enjoy the short summer while it lasts. Difficult makings for trying to get some work done...but, we push on!! Happy Monday Everyone :) Originally had so much to say about this weekend for a blog.... but, words really could not do the experience @ Digital Dreams any justice.
However, last night we had the chance to bike downtown and watch the fireworks display. Such a perfect cap to another great Canada Day long weekend. Wish they never had to end!! Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing weather :) |
