After a successful, but long and exhausting yard sale with the Fam yesterday. It's time for major catch up on some painting today. Even though bartering over peanuts can be a hassle, it def feels good to find a new home for and purge a bunch of stuff that's no longer needed and just taking up precious space :)

It's almost a full eco-system in our backyard :) Love watching the hummingbirds chase each other around. However, we did notice an unhappy looking finch, sitting on top of the feeder stand. We're currently lacking what they prefer :p
Very happy that summer temperatures are "almost" back to where they should be. We Love it HAWT!!!!! With that being said, I can't stand trying to work in my basement studio when its super nice out. So I'm very grateful for our deck and gardens, they make a great alternative.
Got a long way to go, but I'm finally pulling some of the details out of this painting. I started it during the "Our Street Festival" earlier this summer. Will be finished soon!!!! :) Sure would be nice to get more warmth and solid sun, but the veggies are holding up and we're still getting a regular harvest of freshness. Today, was a great lil munch on peas and they are still flowering lots! Looking forward to more fresh beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions, corn, carrots, kale, squash, cilantro, parsley, mint, oregano..... very passionate about growing our own fresh food. I'm especially excited to try one of our tomatillos, never had one before. They grow in their own paper casing, def a cool plant to watch grow up. A sunflower we have been patiently waiting for opened today as well, was not expecting the colouring and it looks so beautiful! Keeping the birds happy with food too. :)
Always so much incredible talent and hardwork goes into all of Iglesia Productions theater. This show is going to be a riot and I'm proud to be a part of such an amazing team :) You can follow the show's progress from the website.
http://iglesiaproductions.com/ Not too many posters are made in a traditional hand drawn fashion anymore. I'm proud and honoured to keep that skill alive for this one. Going with a bit of comic book cover style, very fun technique to play with :)
Yesterday, we had a 1st meeting for all crew involved with the new Iglesia Productions. Really looking forward to seeing this show come to Life! If you can't guess by the sweet lil sketch I did up at the meeting, it's Audrey 2 from "Little Shop of Horrors"!!!! This will def be a must see if you are in the London area. Be sure to stay tuned and I will certainly post links for ticket sales n such, when they become available ;)
